Nomads’ men’s and women’s teams took on the Gunnedah Bulldogs (and Poochettes) at the Belleuve and both lost. In the men’s game which the Nomads lost by 39 points, there was a real tussle. Gunnedah have improved a lot since last year and their overhead marking was a standout feature. The score here was Nomads 7.4.46 to Gunnedah 12.15.87 (we were probably lucky they didn’t kick straighter than they did).
In the women’s game the score was Gunnedah Poochettes 23.17.155 to the Nomads no score. The Poochettes have been the standout team for the past 5 years or so in the women’s league and despite the scoreline, the Nomads women had a sizeable portion of the play.
