Ash Arkit – 2025 New England Nomads Senior Coach
New to Armidale, the former South Australian did not need to be asked twice to take the role of steering the Nomads back into the 2025 AFL North West competition.
With experience in his playing days at the Port Adelaide SANFL club and across numerous competitions in South Australia and Western Australia, Ash brings not only strong Australian Rules football pedigree, but also a proven team building and player management approach both on and off the field. This is exactly what is required to help bring AFL back to the New England region.
After an extensive search, the committee has also appointed Leighton Smith as the women’s coach, with more information to come in a separate update.
